Episode 10: Let’s Talk Toileting
Occupational therapist and autism advocate, Rhiannon Crispe interviews Di on the topic of chronic constipation, soiling and poo withholding.
Di offers specialised and affordable consultations for families with children that encounter toileting difficulties. She conducts individualised assessments and collaborates with families to develop home management plans to address both medical and behavioral aspects. She educates and motivates children with both ‘old school’ play such as storybooks and new technology media, according to a child’s age, needs and interests.
Fees are charged on an hourly rate. Please enquire regarding the current fee schedule. Families who have a ‘Chronic Disease Management Plan’ from their GP are able to claim a rebate (approximately $50) from Medicare for up to 5 sessions/year for Allied Health services. Some private health insurance policies will also rebate for Occupational Therapy.
